An engagement contract is required to set up the ACS for you along with your setup fee. There is no long term commitment.
Professional Services
Anodyne bills for professional services using a time & materials model. We do not provide fixed fee pricing for anything other than the smallest projects. Our hourly rates currently range from $50/hr to $100/hr depending on type of work, size of the engagement and the personal skills of the individual performing the work.
New professional services customers are generally required to supply a retainer before work can begin. The retainer is generally consumed on the last invoice for a development project unless you intend for us to continue working on other projects. In the event that a project is cancelled, your retainer will be used to help satisfy your obligation for work already performed. Any balance remaining will be returned by check.
Hosting and software purchases are billed on a unit price model. As a rule, we don't mark-up software or tools needed to build your product. Hosting pricing is based on your consumption of our resources and is subject to periodic adjustment as your usage patterns change.
On-site If we are working on your site, work is generally billed on a per diem basis. You are responsible for providing the tools necessary for us to do our work on site.
Our on-site goal is to match your normal working hours where possible. If we are required to be on-site more than 8 hours in a given day, you may incur a surcharge. Detailed, task oriented billing details are available for $5/hour on a proactive basis.
If your office is not our first and last location of the day, you may be billed for travel time. Travel is only billed one way.
Air travel and lodging expenses incurred on your behalf are billed at cost with your prior approval for the expenditure.
Off-site When we work at our location, work is billed on an hourly basis. You only incur charges for time actually spent on your application. Anodyne provides all developer tools for remote work that are used at our discretion. If you require us to use specific tools to build your project, you may be required to provide licenses to Anodyne or reimburse us for the purchase.
Recommendation When Anodyne provides the bulk of the design and construction labor for your product, we recommend that you allow us to work in our location with meetings at your site. This helps us in several ways including isolating us from your day-day business interruptions, reducing our non-productive travel time and allowing us to work in a network that is familiar to us. This can result in significant cost savings.
Enterprise integration projects or software design that is to become part of your business' core competency is generally best handled on site. If your project is expected to have an impact on your corporate culture, face to face interaction on a daily basis can be much more effective than being restricted to email and phone conversations. Also, physical access to your existing IT assets may be necessary.
