Developer Information (Coming 2008)
Built with developers in mind
We know that your schedules are tight. There is always some new initiative being driven by management that needs your immediate attention. The last thing you need is a 3 month implementation schedule to add credit cards to your eCommerce website. We feel your pain.
No Software to Install
You use industry standard web services to handle communication between your web site and our card processing network. SSL encryption is used to protect your information during transmission. That's it. There are no dlls to register, no java programs to install, no encryption libraries to load, etc. As long as your application server can consume industry standard web services, you already have all you need to implement our gateway.
ColdFusion/Dreamweaver Support
Point your copy of Dreamweaver at the gateway's wsdl (Web Services Definition Language) file. Dreamweaver will examine the methods available and provide you with the ability to drag and drop the appropriate code into your page.
Fill in the blanks with the appropriate transaction information and you're ready to process.
Testing Environment
As a developer, you need to see the results of your work. You also need to be confident that you won't have a bunch of surprises when you go live. Some gateways provide you with a separate testing gateway for your development. Many times, they have trouble keeping their test environments synchronized with their live environments. This can create lots of unanticipated issues when you go to flip the switch.
The ACS system has been built to handle both live and test transactions. When you process test transactions, you're executing the same gateway code that runs when you process real transactions.
You can see the results of your transactions in the Virtual Terminal. Test transactions are periodically purged to keep the amount of data you have to search through manageable.
Unlike some other card processing gateways, you always have access to test transaction processing. Just because you roll out your initial application doesn't mean you cease development.
We can't wait to see what you build.
